17 June 1955 - First CAA form ACA-305, Airworthiness Report and first Airworthiness Certificate was completed by Piper Aircraft Company and signed by J. W. McNary, Asst. Chief Engineer. - 

17 June 1955 - CAA form ACA-305, application for Airworthiness Certificate and/or Annual Inspection of Aircraft, completed by Piper Aircraft Co, and signed by J.W. McNary, Asst. Chief Engineer,  gives airworthiness classification as: Standard (Normal/Utility/Acrobatic and Transport ) categories, and gives the model number as: PA-18-150.

20 June1955 - Bill of sale transferring title from Piper Aircraft Corp. to La-Ka-Ba Associates, 3601 Cary St. Alton IL.

20 June 1955 - Application for registration list Harold Hal A. Carr as president of La-Ka-Ba Associates.

6 May 1957 - Bill of sale transferring title to Claude Hutcherson, P.O. Box 950, Plainview TX.

8 May 1957 - Bill of sale transferring title to Weldon George, 3714 21St street, Lubbock TX.  The application for registration listed the model as PA18-150, with the 150 in pencil.

27 August 1957 - CAA Form ACA-337, signed by Earl Horton Jr., 915 Kent Rd, Lubbock TX, details the installation of a Super 90 Sorenson spray kit.  The flight test was accomplished on 10 July 1956 and stated the aircraft was controllable with 750 lb load.  This form also changed the category to Restricted.

20 November 1957 - CAA Form ACA-337, Signed by Earl Horton Jr., details the installation of a Narco VTLR-2 radio, using a Piper installation kit.  This form lists the empty weight as 1022.2 lbs, the radio weighed 10.2 lbs.  This form also gives the category as Standard.

20 November 1957 - Certificate of Airworthiness issued in the Standard and Restricted Category.  This was accomplished in accordance with CAR 8.

20 November 1957 - CAA form ACA-305, Application for Airworthiness Certificate and /or Annual Inspection of an Aircraft gives the certificate of airworthiness as both standard and restricted and is signed by Robert F. Gilmore, Agent

20 December 1957 - Certificate of Airworthiness issued in the Restricted Category.

23 December 1957 - Bill of sale transferring title to Weldon George, 3714 21st street, Lubbock TX.  No explanation is given for transferring it back and forth on the same day.

23 December 1957 - Mortgage document gives the serial number of the engine as; Lycoming O-320,
S/N 1764-27.

4 June 1958 - Bill of sale transferring title to Mustang Aviation of New Mexico, P.O. Box 1657, Hobbs NM
A mortgage for 5,269.75, in favor of Wes-Tex Aircraft Sales, of Lubbock TX, list  Melvin H. Darnell and Paul D. Tourne Sr. as the principles of Mustang Aviation.  This bill of sale gives the model number as PA-18A.

7 November 1958 - Bill of sale transferring title to Combs Aircraft Inc, Hangar # 7, Stapleton Airfield, Denver 7, CO.

16 December 1958 - Bill of sale transferring title to E.D. Drageset, Isobel, SD.

24 November 1961 - FAA Form 337 states that the Narco radio had been removed by unknown persons and adjusted the empty weight back to 1012.0 lbs.

4 December 1963 - FAA Form 337 documents the installation of a Hallicrafter model CB-3A Transmitter/Receiver, with an increase in the empty weight of 15 lbs.

3 March 1965 - Bill of sale transferring title to Lawrence Artz, Jordan MT.

27 February 1067 - Bill of sale transferring title to John M. Kreitinger and Eugene Thompson of Fairview MT.  The sale price paid for the aircraft included a 1958 1 ton truck.

6 October 1967 - Bill of sale transferring title to Montana Aircraft Company, Logan Field, Billings MT.

30 October 1967 - Operating Limitations for Multiple Category Operations issued for agricultural spraying operations.  This document details the action necessary to change, from Normal/Utility to Restricted, and back to Normal/Utility. 

3 January 1968 - Bill of sale transferring title to Floyd Carlson, P.O. Box 762, Anchorage, AK.  This is the only document in the file that gives the model as PA-18A.  This bill of sale gives the model number as PA-18A
